After careful consideration, it has been determined that last night's varsity football game will not be resumed. The score at the time of suspension, Grandview 21 - Chaffee 2, will stand as the final score.
Tonight's football game has been suspended for the night because of lightening with 5:13 left in the 3rd quarter. Grandview is leading Chaffe 21-2. There has not been a decision on when the rest of the game will be played. We will let everyone know when the plans are made.

James "Jim" Westfall, a former industrial arts teacher and bus driver for the Grandview R-II School District, has passed away. Well known for never meeting a stranger and for always having a story, Jim will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, located at 220 N. Main in De Soto. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, officiated by Biff Mahn, Dan Eaker, and Lonnie Turnbeaugh.
Memorials can be made to Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church or the Jefferson County Cattlemen’s Association to support local 4-H and F.F.A. chapters.
