4-Day Week Update: Senate Bill 4 was approved out of committee WITHOUT the amendment related to the 4-day school week. I have also been told that we should not consider this a permanent “win” for the 4-day week as a local control option. I’ve heard that this same amendment (that includes the 4-day week) could very well appear again on later bills----so, please do not let this change your efforts to advocate for your position on the 4-day week, whatever it may be. Of course, new amendments could pop up or be added to future bills. Thank you everyone for your efforts, I will try to keep you updated, Matt Zoph

Reminder for tonight...............Basketball at Sunrise. We will play three games at Sunrise starting at 5:00pm (in this order........Girls/7th Boys/8th Boys)

Fun basketball this evening @ home! All four teams will be scrimmaging starting @ 5:30pm. Game #1: 6/7th grade girls, Game #2: 8th grade girls, Game #3: 6th/7th grade boys, Game #4: 8th grade boys. Each game will consist of two 10 minute running clock halves with 5 minute half time. See you there!

Basketball Pictures are today after school. Here are the updates to next weeks basketball schedule! Next Monday, January 9th our games with Jefferson R7 are canceled. In place of the cancelation all four of our teams will be in action at home on Monday playing each other at 5:30pm. (Eagle Black and Gold Games) Here is the Agenda for the evening: Games will begin at 5:30pm (10 min running clock/5 min half/10 min running clock) Game #1......6th/7th grade girls scrimmage Game #2.......8th grade girls scrimmage Game #3......6th/7th grade boys scrimmage Game #4.......8th grade boys scrimmage Next Wednesday, January 11th vs. Richwoods We will play two games 8th grade Girls @ 5:00pm 8th grade Boys @ 6:15pm Next Thursday, January 12th vs. Sunrise We will play three games at Sunrise starting at 5:00pm (Girls/7th Boys/8th Boys)

The JCAA Middle School Conference Basketball brackets have been released. Seeding will occur around January 19th. The dates of the tournament run from Monday, January 23rd through Thursday, January 26th. Games will be played at Crystal City Elementary and Crystal City High School. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
