Day after tomorrow is the big day!
Three more sleeps till the new school year.
Excitement is in the air. Only five days until the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
The Grandview R2 campus has not recieved any signicant damage due to this evenings storms.
Be safe and we will see you Tuesday.
Attention:
This afternoon the fire alarm system was triggered in the high school. Students and staff were evacuated following safety procedures and the fire department was automatically alerted and were on the scene.
After an investigation, it was found that there was not an actual fire and the students and staff were in no imminent danger. The alert system was triggered from a fault in the alarm system. The fault in the alarm system is being addressed so this event is not repeated.
The administration commends the students and staff for their professionalism during the event today and appreciates the prompt and efficient action of our rescue services.
A huge thank you goes out the the voters of Eagle Nation. Project Safe Eagles passed!
A few school districts in the area have decided to release early tomorrow for bad weather. At this time Grandview is planning on having a full day of school. Please rest assured we will be monitoring the weather closely tomorrow and will release if it becomes necessary.
4-Day Week Update:
Senate Bill 4 was approved out of committee WITHOUT the amendment related to the 4-day school week. I have also been told that we should not consider this a permanent “win” for the 4-day week as a local control option. I’ve heard that this same amendment (that includes the 4-day week) could very well appear again on later bills----so, please do not let this change your efforts to advocate for your position on the 4-day week, whatever it may be. Of course, new amendments could pop up or be added to future bills.
Thank you everyone for your efforts, I will try to keep you updated,
Matt Zoph

Bus Route Changes:
Wednesday October 23rd we sent home letters with students explaining upcoming bus route changes. The reason for these changes is a shortage of bus drivers, county and statewide. On a daily basis, we are working to figure out how we are going to get students from school to home and from school to after school trips. Condensing a route is not a decision we take lightly and we know this change will be frustrating for many. This is a decision we did not want to make, it is a necessary change. Even with the changes, all full size bus routes will continue to be under an hour. I would like to thank everyone in advance as we make this transition, and I encourage you to call the transportation department if you have any questions about your route. (636) 944-3941 Opt. 2. The new routes will be posted on the school website. We will be sending an all call tonight and a reminder all call the night before the change, November 4th.
Thank You for Your Understanding,
Matt Zoph
